FAQ
Common questions
What is an intent request?
One call to POST /v1/run counts as one intent request — regardless of the intent type, how many internal tool calls the engine makes, or how long the response stream runs. You pay for outputs, not for internal orchestration steps.
What is the difference between Essentials and Full?
Each Domain Pack has two intent depths. Essentials contains the talent-facing intents — tools that help individuals (resume analysis, job fit, interview prep, etc.). Full includes all Essentials intents plus the employer-facing intents — candidate prescreening, scoring, JD analysis, and structured interview generation. Essentials is available on the free Explore plan. Full requires Professional or higher.
How does per-pack pricing work on Professional?
You pay $49/month for each Domain Pack you activate. If you only need Hiring Intelligence, you pay $49/month. If you add a second pack (e.g. Clinical Workforce when it launches), the second pack is 20% off — $39.20/month. A third or additional pack is 30% off — $34.30/month. The Scale plan is cheaper once you are using three or more packs simultaneously.
Can I switch plans mid-month?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You can add or remove individual Domain Packs on Professional independently of your base plan.
Is there a free trial for Professional?
Yes — 14 days, no credit card required. You'll have full access to all Professional features, Full intent depth, and up to 2,000 requests per pack during the trial.
What compliance certifications do you have?
Liya Engine is SOC 2 Type II compliant. Scale and Enterprise plans include access to the full compliance report. Enterprise plans include a DPA and VPC deployment options for HIPAA and FedRAMP-adjacent workloads.
What happens when I exceed my monthly quota?
You will receive a usage_warning field in the API response at 80% consumption. At 100%, further requests return HTTP 429 with a quota_reset_at timestamp and an upgrade URL. You can choose to wait for the monthly reset or upgrade to unlock higher limits or overage pricing.
